I'm Joey and I'm currently in year 11 at a very shoddy school (SACs average around 40% if we're lucky). I'm very soon going into year 12, so I thought it would be a good time to start one of these! I'm, scared to say the least. Come along with me on this heinous journey.

This year, I did all 1/2s because I only started being any level of smart in year 10 and therefore couldn't apply when I was in year 9, lol. Actually, I did apply for accelerated music, which didn't run because no one likes the music teacher here and there aren't enough people for a class. Yippee. Subjects I did this year were economics, modern history, legal studies, psychology, English, and food studies. My school offered very very few subjects. I would have wanted to something like ancient, classics, sociology, geography. I'm a hums girl. My favs were eco and history. Fuck legal and food, they sucked. Psych is, eh. Same with English. I wish I could have done lit or lang, mainstream is boring.

Next year, I will be doing English, Psychology, Economics, Revolutions through VSV because it isn't running next year, and Extended Investigation through CHES. I'm super super excited for EI.

My goals:

I'm aiming for a 90+ ATAR because there's a scholarship I really, really need that requires it. I'm seeking to do Arts/Music at Monash, which only requires a 76.2. Easy. However, I'm a bit concerned about the audition component, lol. Allegedly they throw scales at you. I don't do theory - I haven't stepped into a theory class since year 9.
Top my eco cohort. Pretty easy. I did that this year. Like I said, my cohort averages 40%s.
Survive! I have so many issues with burnout especially since I have ADHD. So I just want to survive!!
AND HAVE FUN!!! I'm going to make so many more friends through CHES, do the school musical, have fun singing all the time, and enjoy my classes!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO!
