hi guess who bombed their methods test 😔
to be honest ive been in a real low for my mental health. i had a panic attack at school which was..not fun and my physical health has not been the best either because ive been having consistent joint pain for the past 2 weeks. on another note my english assessment went pretty well, but there's been no updates on legal. for now im just revising for exams (which are also really scary).
another stressor is my work experience. its been an absolute nightmare to organise because of dates + ohs training. ive sent more emails in the past two weeks then i probably have in my life.
idk ive just not been having a good time. im trying my best but idk if my best is working anymore.
the only thing keeping me alive rn is comics which, as you can tell from my pfp, i really adore. ++ tv shows and movies.
idk. we're just trying to scrape by for now, and the rest can come later.

velvet i’m so sorry to hear what you are going through, i get that it can be incredibly tough, but you’re always stronger than you think to push through tough times. as someone who also experiences similar mental health challenges, i can say that things get better, and it’s important to take time for yourself amidst school-related stress. one night off to watch a movie never hurts.
all the best with exams and work experience 🙂 be kind to yourself in the meantime.

exams are over!
english won't be released for a while, and i didn't end up doing japanese because i was sick.
however, i did do my legal and math exam! on math i got...22 🙁
but on legal i was rank 1 with 78%!
i'm really happy with legal, and i ended up passing the other methods test which im satisfied with.
overall, this semester wasn't exactly the best. my average this semester is 70, which is not bad but not very good either.
i'm hoping with literature and science (both subjects im pretty good at), my average will go up.
but im honestly in a good mood with the legal score and i hope i can keep it up.

velvet honestly, for me it’s hard to love legal studies when the workload is insane. it’s like they want to drown us in assignments and readings. is it really worth all the stress? it feels like they expect us to be legal experts overnight. good luck keeping that enthusiasm up with all the pressure! (from someone doing legal studies 3/4)

update 9: semester 2 classes!!

so, semester two has begun, and with that, i'll share my first impressions of my new classes!

enhanced english: my teacher changed!! my only opinion of her is nothing because she only works part time so i only see her on thursdays 🙁
math pre-methods: new teacher! she's my homeroom teacher and she's nice but idk if she's a good teacher..let's wait and see
english literature: OH MY GODDD i love this class. my teacher is literally the GOAT, we're covering everything i wanted to learn about, there's so much freedom and choice and i get an excuse to nerd out about post-colonial literature 🥰
science: hateee itttt. never a fan of science and i only took it to please my asian parents but im starting to regret that. my teacher's nice but i swear i'm five seconds from napping hallelujah.

subject selection coming up watch me crash out 😭😭😭
its the last day of school and honestly i DO NOT want to be here, i'm just here for posterity. all of my classes are going well so far.
have had some friendship problems which are really annoying me, reports came out which annoyed me more.
i did well in reports surprisingly but the reason why im annoyed is because..im applying for a debate scholarship!! 🥳🥳🥳

velvet i hope u get it! and also dont mind ur friendship troubles, as long u stay honest and argue for justice, everything will turn out for the best. sometimes conflicts can help us to get rid of people who push us down. at the end of the day, u are the important person for urself. 🙂))

welcome back for our sem 2 grind!
we started sem 2 off..pretty well? i have a new pencil case which i'm happy about, and i feel like i'm doing better in classes.
i've officially submitted my subjects! i'm happy with my choices (english, lit, malayalam, economics & legal), and i think it gives me a variety of options based on what i like.
overall, let's see how it goes. results for my scholarship come back in september, and if i get in, i'll have more options 🙂
