Im trying out for Suzanne Cory and Melbourne High School and I wanted to clear some things up. Last year I tried out but I didn't make it although I grinded a lot just didn't learn some of the questions on the test. I wanted to know how much I need to study since I only starting "locking in" 2 weeks ago. I heard that Year 10 entry is based more off achievements and extra/co-curriculars. I just wanted to know the difficulty of the test compared to the one for year 9 entry, the format of the test seeing that this is an edutest not acer and what are the main topics I should be studying about. Concerning my acheivements, I have made VHAP 3 times, once in Year 5 and twice in year 7, I got credit on my ICAS assessments in Year 7, and I've got some principals awards here and there. I didn't do much in year 8 because the first half of the year I was locking in for selective and the other half I was taking a break. In terms of my extra/co-curriculars, I've done Guitar from Year 4-7, I've gone to swimming programs from my school in year 5 and 6, and I've gone to interschool cricket in year 8 and 9 and interschool soccer in year 6. I also play cricket outside of school for a club and have won the championship twice. What are the odds I would make it into either Suzanne or MHS if I have a decent test result combined with all the things I have stated and have a good interview.
