am i gonna regret choosing vce physics, chem and bio...

i'm doing year 10 science extension right now (we do physics, bio and chem at year 10/11 level, a little bit of 12) and i'm doing well right now, science is my favourite subject so i really want to keep doing it as much as i can & i also want to study science/medicine after year 12. this year, for physics (kinematics, force & energy) i got a 75% (i did NOT study), for bio (genetics - mitosis/meiosis, transcription & translation, etc) i got 100%, and we haven't done our chem assessment yet but i think i'm doing well with it. i really want to do the 3 sciences in vce but i'm REALLY scared i'm gonna regret it. the other subjects i want to do are english language, methods, and italian. i also can't decide what to drop in year 12 if i do decide to do these

christinaaa1 im not in year 10 but i think medicine is getting quite competitive, and it's great to do all 3 sciences if you really enjoy them and know you can do well on them. that being said, don't do them just for scaling and how good it looks on ur resume (idk much about vce so forgive my inaccuracy), do it because you enjoy it. essentially you're doing the suicide six (eng, bio, chem, methods, spesh, physics) minus spesh, so as long as you know its what you want to do there's nothing wrong in going for it. good luck with your studies

Three sciences are perfectly fine! From experience, people do the best in subjects they enjoy. Looks like a very healthy subject mix 🙂

christinaaa1 hmm so you're crushing science now, getting a taste of the harder stuff, and naturally, you want to dive headfirst into all three VCE sciences along with english language, methods, and italian. you're already doing well without studying, which is great, but that 75% in physics without studying is a rude awakening waiting to happen once year 12 hits. wanting to do medicine or science later means you kinda have to commit to these, but you're already picturing the regret. you'll probably end up hating yourself for taking on such a massive workload, and you'll definitely regret whatever you drop, because there's always that one obscure uni prerequisite you didn't see coming. :')

As a yr 12 student I recommend doing subjects you enjoy best or you'll regret it, so if you like all 3 subjects I would recommend going for it but being careful so you don't burnout but overall if you enjoy it do it!
