koala they asked me all the questions on the sheet and a few follow up questions such as for the ai one i said that it could help in scientific innovation by streamlining the research process and my interviewer also quizzed me a bit on crispr gene editing and microbiology

they only asked me how can AI help science, its ethics, what the article was about, extracurriculars and thats it. They didnt even look through my cv.

koala Not bad, even my interviewer didn't go through my reports and I thought I did real good. They will review it later when assessing anyway, so it should be fine.

koala yeah, nobody got asked that question I think so dw. The questions I got asked were "tell me about the article you just read", "What science articles do you read?", "how do you balance your extracurriculars with your academics?", "What are your thoughts on AI and AI ethicality?", and then what my proudest achievement was on my CV. I felt like I could have definitely improved my answer for the article, I could have described it better. But I came up with a GOATED response for the AI questions so that's good, and I did pretty well in the others... my group tasks were not so good though. All in all, the interviews were pretty short for most people and you shouldn't stress out just because your interviewer didn't ask you 1 or 2 questions.

koala I honestly forgot exactly what I said lmao, I just remember that I said something majestic. My interviewer took around 1.5 pages of notes, but that's not necessarily an accurate measure of how well you did since each interviewer has their own way of doing things. I would say as long as you leave a good impression and the interviewer remembers your story and your passion then you're fine.

Ik I failed everyone in predicting the interview date but I am now predicting that the JMSS admission offers will come out on Wednesday, the 10th of September, 2025, give or take one day.

Why?
JMSS interview offers came out on the 31st of July last year; this year they came out on the 4th of August. That's a 4 day difference. Hence, we can expect around a 4 day delay between any dates. Last year, JMSS admission offers came out on Friday, the 6th of September, 2024. With this delay in mind, we can expect offers to come on the 10th, which would make sense because it allows adequate time from when the interview stage ended (last Thursday) for evaluating interview performances and considering those on means-tested entries and other exemptions.
