btw can someone pls like help me start my prep for jmss. like genuinly i am so lost, like idek where to begin. idk what to do or where to start. i have another 9-10 months which i feel like is more then enough to prepare for at least the exam, but something tells me that im just gonna study the wrong thing and it will all be pointless just like for the sehs exam. Someone pls guide me

JMSS_hopefully look at icas practice papers, format is rly similar, the edutest nr and math questions that u can buy online are similarish. In terms of concepts learn yr 9 maths and science, for science instead of deeply studying only a few topics, get the main idea and most important facts about a large variety of topics, but I felt like 90% of the test was common sense and logical analytic skills. For writing, this is where tutoring cld be helpful, have a look at the bigbrain website, they hv pretty good prompts for the two writing pieces- use these to understand the types of prompts and use ai to generate and mark these if u don’t go to tutoring

JMSS_hopefully idk, but I remember for the science test there wasn't a lot of chemistry but there was multiple Qs about rocks and fossils, def know ur variables and MANAGE UR TIME in the maths cause the Qs were doable but I ran out of time and had to guess like 10. I went to ekc tuition but the things they taught were much harder, I recommend the edutest tests as they were quite similar to the actual exam

Sleepy thanks, im pretty good with nr and maths its just the science part that scares me, but is the science reasoning just like data intepretation or does it also ask like actual science based questions. Like biology, chem and the other science topics? and also is jac jmss course good cause i might start it. i have to see about the icas papers because my parents might not like the idea of buying them ill see. For maths tho are they like any really hard things as in like abstract stuff or is it just normal stuff and also what sort of stuff should i learn for the science tests? like ik the topics but like i wanna narrow it down to specific stuff

JMSS_hopefully a mix of data interpretation and qs, i remember there was one on like basic reactions, acid and base ones etc, and there were some questions on fossils, carbon dating etc. I reckon you should learm body systems (mainly circulatory, respiratory and digestive), atoms, ions etc, acids-base reactions and stuff, basic physics: newtons laws, simple machines, speed acceleration etc, some stuff on electricity/circuits , ecosystems (food chains, diff cycles like carbon cycle etc), cells and yea thats the some stuff i studies off the top of my head

yea there was four pictures and they all aligned (kinda). So there was one that was at the top the middle one in that picture was the top one in the second picture. And the last one in the second picture was the middle in the third (or something like that). And you had to figure out which one was the oldest (determining which one was the lowest ie the oldest)

stephqnii JAC is good. I did it and got an interview but they teach u a lot extra and advanced stuff especially for maths. But JAC also gives u 1 interview class if you got in to an interview

JMSS_hopefully like there were 4 pictures on a page next to each other. and the first picture had like 3 fossils. And the middle fossil was the top fossil of the second picture (that means that that fossil isn't the oldest). Then the bottom fossil in the second picture was the middle one in the 3rd picture. And you had to go through them and try and figure out which ones were the oldest. It wasn't hard but it was trying to trick you yk?
