whyjuly Round Offer System Basics (Selective VIC)
You can only receive one offer at a time, for the highest preference where you qualify.
If you got an offer for your second preference, it means:
• You didn't get into your first preference in Round 1.
• You ranked high enough for your second, but not high enough for your first (yet).
• In later rounds, if spots open up at your first preference and you're next in line, you can be upgraded — but only if you don't decline your current offer.
So What Should You Do?
Accept the second preference if you’re happy to attend that school, and still want a shot at your first.
If you decline it, you won’t be considered in later rounds. You’re out of the system.
If you accept it, you remain in the running for a higher preference in future offers (this is called a “waitlist upgrade”).
