Science Topics for JMSS

I've heard people say about the science content of the JMSS test is just basic knowledge, but from what year level? And what exactly? E.g. just what's in an atom, or the word equation for photosynthesis, or is it more complicated like the chemical equation for respiration? Or even more complicated

ob I thought it would be complex stuff and trust me its not!!!!! u really do need to know the basic stuff I recommend doing ICAS test TRUST ME ON THIS ONE. when I was preparing a lot people said to do this and I didn't listen and on the exam it was exactly like the ICAS test paper. U don't need to any tutoring TRUST ME ON THIS ONE TO!! all the tutoring places will give u stuff that is 10x harder than the actual test it was so much easier and this is coming from a student who used to score all average in year 8 (dw i'm in year 9 who did the test this year)

be strong w the topics u learn at school/tuition. personally, i taught myself a lot of physics and bio, which helped me. and all u gotta do is apply ur common sense on the test. do a lot of icas papers.

acedemic_achiver i'm not sure if I would get an offer but time management IS IMPORTANT!!! I had like very very bad time mangement and wasen't able to finish all questions so I had to guess alot but if u have time management then it will be a breezzz

ob I personally don't recommend going to any tutoring. I went to james an, and it was HORRIBLE they gave stuff that was like year 10 vce level trust me! I'm not sure about jayce tutoring tho. The test is very easy, but I found numerical reasoning pretty tough it was on the selective level so I would recommend tutoring for that, but up to you

ob for maths it was all the basics ( there was literally a question about adding two decimal numbers) so for maths I would recommend doing the year 9 textbook. for science u don't need to know a lot of knowledge for science but do study the basics so cover topics from the year 8 textbook, but I mainly recommend doing the ICAS test. That is what's gonna help u the most

So if u wanna spend money, I recommend buying the ICAS test, u can also find some going through the old JMSS post that have been made, a lot of people posted links to Google drive where the ICAS practise test was posted, I also forgot to mention, get a tutor to help u with the writing section.

for the body systems I learned where the ones on the jayce website it basically has the list off all the science u need to cover BUT DON"T DO THAT TRUST ME ON THIS!! just know your basics about body system and do as many ICAS test has u can
