VCE Subject Selection, Business or Health

Hey everyone,

I initially planned to take four subjects next year because I was told I could drop one due to my accelerated subject, Biology. However, it turns out that this information was incorrect. I’ve decided to drop Psychology (where I’m averaging in the 60s and 70s) and now need to choose between Business or Health. The other subjects I'm taking are English (averaging 80s and 90s), Global Politics (averaging 80s), Legal Studies (averaging 75-80), and Revolutions.

Also, how difficult is Revolutions in relation to the Chinese and Russian revolutions? I decided to switch out of Ancient History, which I only did in Unit 2. I wanted to take Modern History this year, but it was scheduled at the same time as my accelerated class. Will this affect my Units 3/4?

What are you aiming to be in the future? What subjects do you enjoy, like if you are going into the healthcare field, Health might be more useful. I noticed you took more humanities/law subjects so Business might match with those options.

@"JRT-TTMMFP"#p90248I honestly don't know, but I'm leaning towards something arts-related, like global studies, law, international relations, etc. However, I did consider going into paramedicine and/or nursing, but I feel like biology already covers that health aspect, you know?

Then I would suggest Business, because doing health while also doing biology might be a bit boring as some of the topics might clash (as you mentioned). Business is always useful to learn too.

@"JRT-TTMMFP"#p90350I think I may have confused you. I’m currently in year 11 and taking year 12 biology. I appreciate your suggestion about accounting; however, my school will not offer it next year as a 3/4 subject because not enough students chose it this year as a 1/2 subject.

I have spoken to my legal studies teacher, and she highly suggests that I take business
