La Trobe is the only direct-entry dentistry course in Victoria. There's also one at Griffith University, Charles Stuart University, James Cook University, and Adelaide University. There might be others that I'm unaware of
But yes, you're correct, if you want to stay in Victoria then your only option is La Trobe. The other ones, including University of Melbourne, require you to complete a 3 year undergraduate before applying. Annoyingly since those ones are post-grad they're allowed to charge students the full-fee, so a lot of students studying them will pay 85k per year as opposed to the 13k at La Trobe.
