VCE French

This is probably just a question for people who are currently doing French vce but also ay input would really help.
The subjets im thinking of doing are:
Chemistry
Biology
Mehtods
Eng lang
Spesh (or physics if i drop out of it)
french
My problem is i absolutely despise french. Im kind of average at it and i don't know if i actually want to continue pursuing it. My french teacher last semester was bad but my current one is good yet i feel like im still barely getting averages. i can barely eben rember my verbs😭. Except i think i might continue it for the scaling but im not to sure since idk if i'll even get a good mark in the first place. So does anyone know if it's possible to get a high atar without french. Also i think i might do year 10 french but i'm not to sure. (i wish my school did japanese😭). So any advice or tips would be great. Thanks!

I did French from Year 7 to VCE, and I would say that if you're struggling with it now and/or you don't want to do it anymore, it's probably not worth doing. A lot of the stuff covered in Year 9/10 is base knowledge for Year 12, when you have oral and written exams. They don't expect you to be fluent, but you should be able to hold down a conversation on various topics. French is also a subject you should have a passion about, to help you learn more vocabulary. If you don't like it, it's probably best to not do it

a.. Hi there, i am in year 10 and I notoced I am wanting to do very similar subjects to you next year and sort of feel the same about french. I want to do physics, French, bio early, spec, methods and lit, and am thinking of just dropping french after year 11 if it is too horrific. What sort of scores r u currently getting? I've been getting 80s usually, sometimes an odd high 80, which I'm not sure if it's good for year 10 or not.
