hii my name is steph, im currently in year 8 and i thought it would be nice to create something i can look back on next year, so ive decided to create this journal.
i'll probably be using this to check my progress, reflect, and rant abt jmss related things or js anything tbh.
i'll try to update this frequently--for myself and anyone else (if anyone actually reads this).

my current goals:
learn vce/college maths
pass the jmss exam
get goated in badminton
work out for at least an hour daily
study over three hours per day (major procrastinator btw)
create two or more research/passion projects
get volunteering experience
finish all my assignmentsssss

How do you make passion projects? I’m assuming this is for JMSS and I also want to do some but idk what it means or entails. Can u pls share what it is and how to do one?

maybecoooked so a passion project is basically an independent project of ur liking, some examples being making an app or game, writing a book, starting a not-for-profit, or voicing a podcast, but the project doesn’t have to be something big like those, it could just be researching a topic you’re interested in and/or making an infographic. I guess it’s like doing a school assignment/project without a given topic, guidelines, and academic pressure. I’m not that great at explaining so I’d suggest searching it up as well.

the way I’m planning to do one is:
• come up with a topic
• research heavily about it
• create an infographic

but I also want to do more hands-on projects so I’m not sure what to do for those

stephqnii thank you so much! Also how do you plan to volunteer? It seems kinda scary as we are still pretty young and others might not take us seriously

maybecoooked there r a lot of organisations around aus which offer volunteering services. u shld check out ur nearest council or youth center to see how u can help. for me personally i was the outreach director of a charity in my hometown.

maybecoooked yeah I feel the same but im gonna try find some environmental volunteering like just picking up trash on the beach with an organisation bcs idk what else to do, ive tried looking but i cant find much

today was okay. i found out my friend is trying for jmss too so i guess ill be w her on exam day. i have a lot of assignments due so i won't have much time to self-study tonight (primarily for jmss) as ill be attempting to finish and submit stuff. i do have a couple of tests next week so i need to find time to study for them as well.

last year was over 2000 but i think it increases each year so there'll be a lot
