Need Advice for Selective School Nossal.

I'm in grade 6 and over the past few years I've been studying for the selective exam for Nossal. I use IXL to study and a year 7 textbook. I'm not sure how the exam is, so if there's anyone out there who has experience, could you please provide me some advice and how it was like?

Nusaiba dont use ixl, it always told me i was yr 12-13 level on everything use websites like edugain and readtheory

Nusaiba after u master ur yr 7 textbook get the yr 8 ice-em textbook its very similar to the format

Nusaiba ixl is not good; instead, use websites like Khan Academy and good maths textbooks. Within this year or so, i would recommend starting tutoring. Some good ones are Henderson's and EdAccelerator.

Nusaiba hi! so I actually have a lot of experience in sitting the selective exam for nossal, as I sat it for yr 9 (but didn’t get in), than again for yr 10 (last year) and got in. I don’t have any resources to share bc I didn’t study at all for the yr 10 entry and still ended up with 4 superiors lol. For tips, I would say focus on time management - like I cannot stress this enough, you will NOT get time to finish all the questions or even read the questions properly. Guess the answers to long questions as you can’t waste time by reading them and when there are 5 mins left, just guess C to all the remaining questions. Don’t worry about getting all of the questions right, I doubt I got 2/3 correct but I still got sups for everything except for writing.

Nusaiba oh and adding on to what I said before, last year I noticed that the last page of questions in maths etc were really easy, so I would recommend flipping to the back and doing those when there are 10 minutes left
