Hi guys!
I'm accelerating Methods 3/4 and Bio 3/4 next year in Year 11, but honestly I'm really scared to do Bio 3/4 next year because I'm scared of spending too much time on it and neglecting my other subjects... especially specialist maths and english (although my teachers have said Eng isn't too hard, I want to work hard on all my subjects).
I'm also scared of not doing well in the SACs next year since people from my school have said they are pretty hard, and I don't want to waste all my time studying for Bio since I really want to study all my subjects well, instead of neglecting my 1/2s for my 3/4s.
I also sometimes get myself confused when wording answers to short answer questions - e.g I tend to answer them with really long sentences almost like a humanities one, although I'm working on using dot points and making them more concise.
The only thing that's making me feel better right now is that I've learnt some stuff about CRISPR, GMOs and other biology stuff at school... but I think I'm forgetting the content already so I'm going to try and keep these fresh in my mind meanwhile 🙂
Does anyone have any tips for:
- Learning and understanding all the content without wasting all my time on writing notes
- Memorising the content more efficiently? I don't want to spend 3 hours making flashcards 🙁
- Answering questions in Biology SACs or the exam
- Balancing your time between all subjects?
Any past experiences doing Methods 3/4 plus another accelerated science subject, or just accelerating Biology would be really helpful as well!
Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
