JMSS - is it worth it??

i recently got asked to do an interview for JMSS but im still deciding if it is worth it?? can any past / current students give me some advice or something?? because im also thinking about vce and my future and im wondering if going to John Monash is really worth it because a lot of current students i know have told me that they are falling off and don't perform as well as they used to?? thanksss

angxl it really depends. If u have desire a career in the STEM pathway, then its perfect. It offers diff electives that tailor do diff sciences and maths. it also has great ties with monash uni, cus they basically together. this means, its qutee easy to get courses after skl.

However, if none of this interests you, then its not rlly useful, ur js increasing peer pressure, and difficulty for no reason

angxl yea so basically if ur interested in STEM 100% try we get a bunch of opportunities, immersions w monash uni, science fairs overseas etc. However if ur not considering stem/don't like stem it may not benefit u cuz all electives r stem based and u hv to do 2 sciences in vce. For the performance its probably because 1. some tests esp in science and maths are harder 2. the jump between 9&10 or even to vce is generally considered pretty large so that can also contribute to lower performance since jmss is yrs 10+ and ur comparing it to ur lower year level results (in which scoring high was probaby easier)

its mean to drag out your full potential in STEM pathways if thats not your goal then theres no reason to go
