General rule of thumb for selective schools and stuff: learn a year ahead + learn a little bit of 2 years ahead

I would recommend the JSO syllabus for science ngl, it's very comprehensive https://asi.edu.au/resources/#jsoexamresources

that's the link to all the syllabi for science, should cover most of what you need

useful additions to that list:

stoichiometry (chem)
extension cell parts and function (bio)
properties of bonding types (chem)
conservation laws and suvat (phys)

everything else should suit you well

it's useful to know quantitative versions of everything, however for selective a conceptual understanding in all topics is more important

mathematics, probably just everything before methods is useful (trig, polynomials, geometry, probability)

Mathematics I can't think of a comprehensive list rn, sorry, I'll try and come up with one later

irongolem_7653 Hi, I did the test for year 10 entry and you should be fine for Maths as like its easier then then the year 9 entry one, you just need to have good time.

curium i mostly need help with maths, but science assistance would help a lot too because i don't really have much of a comprehensive understanding of science, just the basics

irongolem_7653 ohh ok i see, id say mostly study the yr 10/10a textbook (i have pdf if u want it), probably algebra, graphs, geometry, indices, logarithms, measurement n surds, trig

for science thats harder, im not quite sure what the curriculum wuld include, but astronomy, bio, chem, physics, earth sciences will almost definitely be tested. astronomy js know ur planets well kinda thing and scientifc notation, bio chem phys r described rly well by KitsuneKat322. earth sciences know ur tectonic plates and get familiar w rock layers and stuff

based mostly on yr 10 entry, but yr 11 would be similar just w less given facts

alright once all the JMSS interviews are done (so noone can copy the strat), il give u everything u need to have a 100% chance of getiing in successfully (im not even lying)

irongolem_7653 ethereal i have a shared drive w like 7 textbooks in it, js use 10 and 10a tbh but nsw year 7 (dont ask), year 8, 9, 10 and 10a, methods (solutions r separate), general math 1&2 r there asw if u want it out

ethereal you're all in VIC, so I would recommend either year 10 textbooks or VCE units 1/2 textbooks (what I did to prepare for science olympiads and stuff), although reddit seems to have many many resources, and I would definitely recommend go checking out r/VCE2026FreeResources 😉
