These notes are what I used for my written French Continuers HSC exam, minus a few things that I had copied and pasted from the NESA website. I apologise in advance that they are not elaborate or extravagant, however they include:
- a copy of the syllabus
- a table of random vocabulary to assist both formal and informal registers in Writing components of French exams (suited especially to emails and letters)
- Simple, concise notes on more advanced Grammar tenses: l'imparfait, Plus-que-parfait, Conditionnel prsent and Subjonctif prsent, as well as a quick refresher on the direct object pronoun, indirect object pronoun & the uses of 'y' and 'en.'
- Evidently, I am not a native speaker of this gorgeous Romance language, though I have much passion for learning French. (Hopefully several languages too, oh to be a polyglot!) So, I left in some of my spoken mistakes during phone lessons. I completed my HSC by distance education and completed weekly phone calls (ma bte noire) that gave me severe anxiety, hence I did not want to repeat these same mistakes under timed conditions in my writing, (which is much less likely as I am much calmer.) Just there if you need to remember French's tricky little idiosyncrasies and perks!
I wish you the best of luck, and I hope whoever is reading this has access to a much broader range of French Continuers notes in the ATAR Notes free notes forum than I did! (basically none.)
Bonne courage et bonne chance!
