Are there any past VCE students or current students who have/has studied BOTH French and Specialist Math?
I would like to get some advice or thoughts on both subjects
How did you find both subjects?
Was one subject more time consuming and needed more time to study or score well?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
French or Spesh?
French = more time consuming
French = more effort to score well.
Spec is really fun if you are good at maths, and if you do methods there is a lot of overlap so you can study for 2 subjects at once!
I like learning French but at as subject it is easily my least favourite because it's not something you can improve at quickly. With maths and science subjects you can speedrun the course, but not with a language. There are too many words. Still, I think it's good to do a language just for some variety in your subjects.
I agree with Jesus - French/ languages 100% go beyond the scope of the study design so it's not really possible to cram or do quickly. however, do whatever you want. you know yourself best
Jesus Thanks for your input! Yes true, Spesh would be easier since it's not like a foreign language. I think I'm leaning more towards French as my 5th subject in y11 for now but I think I might pick up Spesh 3/4 in y12, depending on how I feel. (And oh god, Jesus has answered my question! )
wheatie47 Thanks!
