Hello. So I've just finished my trials and they went alright. Some subjects went pretty good and for some I'm not feeling the best. I go to a school that is ranked in the top 120 and my cohort does have a fair few high academic achievers.
My subjects and my rough rank (we haven't gotten our ranks yet, just my guess after talking to everyone and my general performance throughout the year):
English advanced - 3-4/17
Math advanced - top 5/60-70 ish people
Chemistry - 4-5/20 ish people
Physics - 4-5/60-70 ish
Economics - 2/15-20 ish
Sorry, I'm not really sure how many people are in my respective classes but those are the ranks I'm pretty sure I'm at after trials. I've just been stressing quite a lot about if I can get an ATAR of about 90 or even better 95? Throughout the year my performance has been pretty good, but in trials, I think my ranks have taken a bit of a hit, so what I'm really hung up on is are they still good enough for me to reach my goal. I've put in hard work throughout the year, so I'm confident I can get pretty good in the externals so yeah that's a bit comforting to me, but like I mentioned im not sure whether my internal ranks are good or bad. Also just forget to mention, the mark differences between ranks are not massive. I think for all my subjects i am within 10 marks of rank 1 at the maximum.
So can I still achieve my ATAR goal?
Thank You!
