Hi, I'm in year 11 doing a year 12 subject (Psychology)
So far, I've been scoring an average of 67% throughout all my SACs for this year (I haven't received the results for the latest SAC). I'm not too happy about it because I know in order to get a high study score, the SAC scores need to be relatively high as well.
But what if I scored well for the end-of-year exam? Will my study score be affected? What could be the highest score I could get (potentially), assuming that I miss only a couple of marks?
This last term will be a revision term for me, so there are no more classes for the subject. I'm studying really well at this point, so I'm hoping to get a high mark for the exam
Is a high study score possible with low SAC scores?
I know it sounds stupid, but considering that my average is 67% I think I might have the slightest chance.
What sort of study score are you aiming for?
It's possible, but it depends on a lot of factors such as how strong your cohort is, the sac difficulty, and your ranking. Psych is a very competitive subject though, so that would make it more difficult. But at the end of the day the exam is 60% of your study score so i wouldn't worry about sacs that have already passed and just concentrate on doing the best you can on the exam.
Yes it is definitely possible, as SAC scores scale up/down depending on how well you perform on the exam due to some schools giving out easier/harder SACs. I'd recommend looking at Psychology's grade distribution from previous years to estimate around what percentage you need to get a high grade for the exam
