Essentially I'd like input on what subjects are worth spending my time on. I've tried to explain my performance so far and my concerns below. Also, the fact that each subject takes a different amount of effort to get a certain score because of competition and the difficulty of questions is something that i thought was worth considering.
The subjects that I've finished with their raw ss
English = 36
Methods = 36 (unsure whether it will be in my top 4 or not)
Subject that I WILL focus on (aka top 4)
Further (rank 1)--really trying to get in the mid40's.
Other subjects (where the prioritisation confusion lies)
Accounting -- (rank 2-3) - understand the concepts pretty well, I think in terms of effort it will be less hard to 'learn'. On the other hand, doing accounting practice exams are extremely draining, maybe if I'm bold enough i'd say its monotonous. I do pretty well on theory questions, at times I miss the details in the more mathsy ones. I also struggle with time. another downside is it doesn't scale that well.
Physics -- (rank not too sure top 10, think maybe 5ish on the days I'm optimistic) -I absolutely adore this subject. Putting effort into it doesn't feel like much of a burden. Did really well in unit 3, unit 4 was extremely tricky for me though - my grades dropped down a bit - for the life of me light and matter just doesn't make sense to me)
Chem -- (rank really not that great, sac marks not that great either) -- i do understand the basics, I just find the questions being asked really hard to answer (or maybe this is just me in denial that I'm not actually that good at this subject). I find that these practise exams are bit more fun to do than maybe accounting, but only again i don't have a good foundation to start off from because of the SACs. but it does scale well, so I don't need to do as well to get that same scaled score as another subject (eg. bio).
Bio -- (really can't tell how I'm doing - for sacs there are always a couple people who are acing them while i get in the idk 90's also the avg's are like a 75-80%) Didn't really try at all in bio this year. Love doing the practise test though, its so intriguing seeing the application of stuff we've learnt, finishing exams feels a lot like watching a documentary in terms of satisfaction. Don't know whether it is worth grinding for now though since i probs have a mediocre rank and it doesn't scale that well. Also worth saying that i have bad memory so really niche things that pop up in multiple choice never make sense to me, and I also haven't done unit 1+2 bio.
