Revan qscgyjmlp I've done quite a few exams actually and most of them went into chem and spec. I know roughly how I went on the exam and I have also read previous students' exam scores and complementing study scores. To predict study scores, you should be familiar with past students results, grade distributions and be able to judge the difficulty of exams (this comes from doing past vcaa papers). I feel as though the methods, spec and chem exams were easier this year than last year so i'm very curious to know what ss's I received. It's only a matter of 6 days...
qscgyjmlp Revan Oh sheesh it seems you sure put a lot of work into this. Did you look at the suggested solutions to get an idea of how you went on the exams? or just like the vibe coming out of it?
Revan qscgyjmlp I tried my best to not look at any solutions and I have succeeded so far. I didn't want to be disappointed knowing that I lost marks but coming out of the exams I knew how I went. I was very happy with Exam 2 for both maths but heavily disappointed with Exam 1 for Spec and English and Chem were a little disappointing but not too bad. I guess during the year I was so bored that I spent so many hours mindlessly reading past forums but I assume many others do at some point.
bw304 bw304 okay so here are my actual vs (predicted) scores: english - 49 (42) bio - 45 (39) chem - 40 (37) methods - 40 (39) spesh - 34 (34) which got me a 99.25... i'm actually blown away right now. i'm super super happy with all my scores omg. congratulations to everyone for getting through this year!!!
FriendlyBison FriendlyBison eng, chem: 50 spesh: 40 (what?) methods: 46 Not too pleased, also with my aggregate I wouldve thought thatd be a .95, got .90, but put in the effort so can't complain in the end Congrats on finishing everyone
bluebird bluebird 2021 raw scores: Bio: 43 HHD: 50 2022 predictions: English Language: 45 (actually got 43 kinda disappointed) Methods: 20 (actually got 27 very happy) Legal Studies: 37 (got 39 very happy) Literature: 38? but realistically a 36 (got 37 very happy) ATAR prediction: aiming for a 98+ but probably only gonna get 97+ which is fine actually got a 98.15 very very happy
butterfly13579 Hey guys! Do you think a 93 ATAR is enough to get into biomedicine at Monash or Melbourne?
bluebird butterfly13579 I have no idea, this probably doesn't help but I know someone who got 95 and got into biomed at Monash? No idea though sorry. But congratulations!!!
bw304 butterfly13579 i'm pretty the atar requirements for biomed are an 85 at monash and a 95 at melbourne!
swheels_ swheels_ devastated i cannot believe my score, i only got a 36 and now feel like giving up completely because i genuinely poured all my blood sweat and tears into that stupid subject for nothing
swheels_ swheels_ like i just do not understand the point of putting so much effort in just to get that like i worked so hard so now i just feel like there's no point trying anymore
bw304 swheels_ i totally understand how you're feeling right now and it's not fun. like you said earlier, you felt your performance on the day was impaired by other factors - which is a totally normal thing (and one of the reasons why i think having a big final exam is unfair to students). it might seem hard to do now, but try and let this frustration fuel your motivation for your endeavours next year. i know it sounds cliche, but you are so much more than a number on a screen and it's the effort you put in that truly counts!
God God Predictions Vs Reality: English: 41 (actually 37) Chemistry: 44 (actually 38) Spec: 35 (actually 34) Physics: 46 (actually 41) (Plus 42 methods & 46 bio from '21) So aiming for a 99+ ATAR. (But i doubt that'll happen - unless english goes ridiculously good... ) Atar: 98.1 Damn English 😂
