It probably doesn't matter too much what you do your work experience in. If you want to get into neuroscience/pharmacology in the future doing/not doing work experience in a relevant field isn't going to really change much in the future. It may be helpful if you want to get a better idea of those fields but other than that anything for work experience is probably fine.

Anyone needing work experience can check out Sven Jobs! It will essentially match shifts to your experience, location and availability so you can browse and accept the work that suits your schedule. Sven is your employer so you’re paid and protected by them - so they look after everything from calculating applicable breaks, minimum wage requirements, entitlements and allowances for workers!
Super awesome for students if you need to pick up a shift on the weekend, after class, or if you don't have any assignments due (avoid week 4 and 9 
)! or if you are a little bored between that 3-4 month holiday over Christmas and need a little extra cash! As a 4th year student, I really couldn't recommend more!
