Hey y'all!

beep boop here. For those of you that followed my high school journal, hi again! For those that don't, I'm apart class of '22 and will be studying at rmit doing bachelor of applied science specialising in medical imaging.

I've been working at a take out and started volunteering at vinnies. I like my workplace environment and I even say hi to my work neighbours. Honestly, doing a customer service job has made me more sociable. I like having genuine conversations with customers and you learn a thing or two along the way. I struck up a conversation with a lady on the train the other week.

I enrolled in my course during xmas week. And lemme tell you, that was a nightmare. The site kept crashing and going back and forth. It took me at least 2 hrs to get everything done. 😭😭 I hope everyone else's enrolment process wasn't as bad as mine.

I applied for a student id card this week and been signing up for loyalty programs that have uni discount programs lmaooooo.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

beep_boop oh same! Enrolling for my my course took so much longer than I was expecting and it kept signing me out. It was such a hassle to set up everything and pick all my units! Hope you had a happy new year!

    HEY Y'ALL!

It's been a hot minute since I've posted hehe. I've started uni for about three weeks now. Just a refresher I'm currently doing bachelor of science (medical radiations) at RMIT. Lemme tell youse. Uni. Is. So. Much. Work. I feel like as soon as I finish my work, something else pops up. The amount of anatomy I have to learn is astronomical!!!! And not to mention the assessments that being bombarded left and right. Travel was shock to the system. I have to wake up super early and all my first classes that I have in the morning start at 8:30. Can you imagine trying to learn physics at 8:30 on a mon? Its rough. Getting there is 2 hrs and going home is also the same time. 😭 Labs can be a lot, when I'm trying to process and learn how to xray. My stomach is rumbling and I'm hella drained by the end of the week. Sorry for the rant beep boopers, lol. Uni has been a lot for me as you can tell. πŸ˜‚

The subjects that I'm currently doing rn are:
    BIOL2480: Introduction to Human Biosciences
    RADI1115: Foundations of Professional Practice
    RAD1184: Medical Imaging 1
    ONPS2343: Medical Radiations Physics 1

I'm currently doing ok in bio and foundations of prof prac (this is my fav one). Doing not so ok in medical imaging and medical radiations.

Hope you have a good weekend!

      Heyo!

As of writing, I'm totally not being bombarded with assessments rn. I'm not even exaggerating. πŸ₯²πŸ₯Ή

There's so much to memorise, from anatomy to physics. Its never ending. In RADI1184, a skills assessment is done at the end of the semester. We're expected to remember all the positioning, x-ray types and pathology because we have no idea on what we're getting on the day. I've never done something like this before, so its quite scary to say the least.

      Assessments (as of now):
RADI1184: Image critique paper and skills assessment.
      RAD1125: Group poster
OPNS2324: Lab report and set of physics questions
BIOL2480: small quizzes and workshop assignments

Anyways, some funny things happened whilst I was at uni. When I was in physics class, there was a bug that landed on my friend's worksheet. So I flicked it away and it went on the seat in front of me. Realising that it was really close to my other friend. I rolled up a sheet of paper and started to wack my friend to alert him of the bug. Him thinking I dropped my pen, he started to look all over. Not seeing the huge as bug right next to him. All this occurred in front of our professor. 😭 He just went on w/ the lecture like nothing happened.

Have a good week beep boopers!

      Hey peeps!

Long time no beep boopers. So I've been pre busy and js came back from a holiday haha. I managed to pass all of my subjects and I can't wait to move onto 2nd yr. I thought I was gonna be held back bc of my anatomy class like oml. But I passed yayayaya. Its crazy to think that I've started this journal almost a year ago.

I managed to get a lot of things done this semester. Like go to a trivia nite and conference held by the medical imaging assoication. I didn't know what I thinking when I applied for the conference. I was right in the thick of many major assessments and that may have made me a bit loopy tbh. They also let me know very last minute so it felt rushed, but I pulled thru the occasion.

I have some good news as well. I managed to get into a student position into medical imaging association. I got rlly excited when I got the email! I applied for a uni job and I will starting this week. I'm can't wait. Seems like an interesting job and much of an improvement compared to my fast food job.

It seems like I'm going to have a full on year next year.

Merry xmas and Happy New Year, beep boopers!

Its been a hot minute, beep boopers!

Hope y'all have settled into school and uni well. I started uni again last week.

      For this sem I'm doing:

      RADI1217: Medical Imaging 3A
      BIOL2275: Head and Visceral Anatomy
      MEDS2118: Introduction to pathology
REHA2241: Communication Skills for Health Professionals

I've alr been hit with a bucket load of content for path and anatomy. I've also been working as well, but I've dropped it down to once a week since I've been studying again. I don't feel as overwhelmed when it comes to anatomy anymore, cos limb and truck from last semester gave me so much pstd like omg. The contents is defs structured better and a lot more digestible. I start placement pre early this year like in may and from now on I will have placement this every semester. I'm a bit nervous at where I'm going to be placed at since it might be interstate and I don't wanna travel this far this time.

Anyways, moving on to non uni updates. I finally got my red p plates! After so long! All I need now is car lol. I'm so 🌟broque🌟.

      Have a good weekend peeps!
