Hi, my name is Richard and I’ll be continuing to offer my services as a Maths Methods Tutor for 2023.
I’m from the graduating class of 2020 and I’m currently in my third year at Monash University, studying the undergraduate Medicine program. In my final year of high school, I achieved an ATAR of 99.20 and raw study score of 46 in Maths Methods scaling above a 49 and placing me within the top 2% of students. Over the past two years, I've cultivated private tutoring experience as an contract tutor for various companies and as a volunteer, accumulating hundreds of hours in both one on one and group settings.
In my tenure as a tutor, I notice that most students believe that their maths ability is inherent. This is far from the truth. Every student has the capability to perform well and it depends largely on their mindset and how much effort they’re willing to put into their work. All of my students over the years have to come to me stating that maths was their worst performing subject, but by the end of year, it often becomes their highest scoring score. Throughout the year, students can expect
[ ] Weekly online classes and personalised feedback in order to maximise subject learning and growth
[ ] Access to hundreds of past papers, topic tests and worksheets
[ ] Detailed subject notes on all topics for the current study design
[ ] Advice and access to material in other subjects including Chemistry, Psychology and English
[ ] Around the clock support with any questions and concerns that you may have
Additionally, for any aspiring medical students, I’m also more than happy to support you in your application with regards to sitting the UCAT and preparing for your MMI interviews. Please contact me via my email address below to express your interest, classes will be commencing soon and these will be on a first serve basis.
