Ok so update โจ
I think I'll do an intro, because I am clearly lacking one!
What I want to get out of doing this journaling:
- I feel like I just want to be the person that I needed last year, someone reminding me that VCE is not the be all and end all!
- Also I want to have a little outlet for the stress that this year brings with it!
So a bit about me, love music, like love it! Any music recommendations are greatly appreciated. My favourite band is Imagine Dragons, favourite singer is the Weeknd and favourite song is Dancing in the moonlight by Toploader because it just gives me that warm bubbly feeling! Love playing soccer, catching up with my friends, like I'm an extreme extrovert, like I'll meet someone on the street and make friends with them, so I'm out every weekend, also probably the loudest person in the room as I've been told. ๐ Also you couldn't see me in a gym, love soccer, but the gym ๐คฎ I'm not dedicated enough! But to all those gym junkies out there, you have my respect. ๐
But enough about me! What are my subjects that's what I think anyone who reads this wants to know:
- Last year I completed:
- Sociology 3/4
- Psychology 3/4
- This year I'm doing:
- Biology 3/4 which I picked up (I did chemistry 1/2 instead)
- French 3/4
- General Maths 3/4 (I did methods 1/2 instead, my careers counsellor forced me to do it for a year, I hated it)
- English 3/4
So if you can't tell I'm more humanities geared, I would've like to history instead of biology but it didn't fit in timetabling. I want to do a Bachelor of Arts degree with like a Law degree but that's ideal situation if I just ended up with a Bachelor of Arts degree I would still be happy! My family however not so much, they're lovely people but you know asian families, they would prefer if I had the law degree too, wouldn't be mad but still.
And now for my February recap!
It was hectic, like it was so nice for the first week and then the 2nd last week of Feb everything just ramped up, so apparently there's this VCAA rule you can only have 90 hours on like a certain topic, that's what my biology teacher told me. That's why SAC's are usually close together because subjects are finishing their 90 hours and so have to organise the SAC. Which sucks for people like me! I was swamped last week, I had 3 SAC's and one SAC today it was crazy! I really procrastinated my studies by the end because I was just burnt out from putting my nose in books. Like I had one gap for a party and jeez was it a relief! As for my SAC's I worked my butt off for French and got my SAC back on Friday to say I was disappointed would be the understatement of the year I full blown bawled my eyes out it was horrifying! I got a B, for the amount I studied I was mad, my teacher is really tough too and I have had him since Year 7 he's accumulated so many complaints because he's a terrible teacher but he just doesn't care especially about helping us improve I don't know how I'm going to survive the year with him. Biology is amazing, got an A+ which was beautiful! Haven't got my general marks back or my English marks back but I think fingers crossed that I did ok!
Now for anyone who's reading, thanks for reading my bite sized piece of my life, if you have any song recommendations or stories to share, questions to ask, feel free to reply to this, I'll get back to you during these monthly posts!
To all my fellow Year 12's and everyone else out there doing their respective studies, good luck with your tests, SAC's, outcomes and exams! ๐
*also for those who need it don't be so hard on yourself by Jess Glynne is my jam this year, for all those disappointing moments, it puts things into perspective for me! ๐
