Hey guys so I have been searching for a forum where people are discussing units 3/4 psychology for 2023 and so far have not found one so I thought I would start my own for those who may find it easier to learn through discussion with peers so please feel free to ask questions, tell stories or even just talk about anything Pychology related.

Does anyone know if we have to know developmental plasticity and adaptive plasticity?
I remembered it as neural plasticity and synaptic plasticity but idk if they're the right terms to use on the exam.

i think its neural and synaptic, pretty sure developmental/adaptive isnt in the SD this year

    oh really? I was doing these practice questions from this year's study design since I bought this booklet thing online and I was really confused.

      what's the name of the company? but yeah if you refer to the SD dot points im pretty sure it's:
      synaptic plasticity – resulting from long-term potentiation and
      long-term depression, which together act to modify connections
      between neurons (sprouting, rerouting and pruning) – as the
      fundamental mechanism of memory formation that leads to learning

        its by cengage, I got it from the book list
        the same teacher that teaches psych on edrolo created it

          kristy kendall? hmm i think that's weird, i haven't heard of cengage btw but when she teaches it on edrolo she doesn't reference that asw so i think its just outdated content, idk how it got in there

          in the exam use synaptic and neural tho i wouldnt do adaptive/developmental personally

            how did you guys find the exam? i flopped ER so bad

            I found the exam pretty okay, I was confused with some questions but it wasn't too bad for me

            yeah i agree wording was rly vague at some points, esp with extended reponse

              do u guys wanna drop ranks, sac scores and predicted ss before dec 11 guys?

              Exam was fine but I found the mc question wording confusing. The exam was harder then the practice ones I was doing or the VCAA ones from the last few years. Overall very unsure about it but it was ok.

              yeah i agree it was so hard w wording compared to prev years

              ohhh, I studied that briefly before the exam so it was pretty ok for me, I just think it shouldn't have been worth 10 marks tbh
