Hiya all!

I need a bit of help with my history. It is not my best subject which is one of my reasons why I'm not going to do it anymore. Besides that, does anyone know how to introduce a quote directly? I tried History Skills and it only gives me 2 examples.

Thankss, Leeshi!

    Like, could you explain what you're trying to do a little bit more clearly, like what sort of examples did you look at?

      These ones:

      Rankin states that there "may [be] doubt whether Vindex wished to … replace the emperor at Rome" (1987, 145).
      This is clear when Plutarch said that it was “a religion of women and eunuchs” (von Domaszewski, 1911, 51-2).

      @Leeshi
      There "may [be] doubt whether Vindex wished to...replace the emperor at Rome," (1897, 145) stated Rankin. This was further supported by Plutarch when he described it as “a religion of women and eunuchs” (von Domaszewski, 1911, 51-2).

      Is this what you're looking for?

        It was an example of how I could word it, but right now I'm writing "According to ... it states that..."

          You could write it either way, just make sure mix it up every now and then 🙂
