For the writing Persuasive, if you are doing 2 body paragraphs and then rebuttal would you only need two arguments in introduction.
Victorian selective school
My last tutoring session for selective is tomorrow. I’m kinda sad ngl
last practice test tomorrow for TT8
thats all g
Also would you need only 2 arguments for introduction because you are writing rebuttal? and would you lose marks if you did write only 2 arguments for intro.
AverageMultiChoiceTest Can you explain what the answers mean in the question (oversimplification, Politician Fallacy) As my questions are always like a caused b or b caused a or they are both independent
@MMHS I just realised Deroza is realy easy I was scared because of the start lol. It looked tough but it was ez
have u been doing just deroza the past weeks? yeah de roza is pretty easy
TryingForMHS oversimplification is kinda like "since you are on ATAR notes you are smart (you probably are)", oversimplifying the facts. Politician's fallacy is where you use a fallacy to shine negative light on your opponent
the test is in 6 days...(it's so close)
i still need to speed up in my persuasive and creative writing because i can't finish the whole thing...was wondering if you guys had any creative/persuasive pieces you could share bc i need to get an idea of how long it should be and what i should include. thanks : )
Skyward1264 Firstly, Technology, one of the most revolutionary names because of how vastly wide it is when it comes to variety. Teachers opt for technology in classrooms as it removes tress, but helicopter parents have decided to take a toll and protest against it. Parents believe that technology can hinder at a student’s education experiences.
Secondly, Technology may seem like a burden but in reality, it is a wide promoter of stress decrease. Belinda smith a psychology expert at Stanford believes that using technology can widen a student’s education and the reason as to why this is, is very concise. Technology has made its way into classrooms through iPad and laptops, and it has been scientifically proven that technology in classrooms versus classrooms that do not have any tech are generally smarter more precisely they average 37 percent of higher scores than others. Parents believe they want the best for their child’s education and technology can help decrease stress for teachers and alleviate the student’s education.
I believe that students who want to be better in class are being more depressed when they’re pushed by parents to study with textbooks and read day and night. While reading is good, I believe that using an iPad or a laptop can help with posture and productivity in the brain. I come from an Asian household, and we typically have to look at a textbook and answer questions from there and I remember when me and my family got a computer, I felt relieved and now my studies have never been better getting straight A pluses. Tech has had a great toll on my life leading to my successfulness and I wish the same for others but when you don’t have an advantage how much risk are you willing to take.
More over, Technology may seem as it is a for sure way to rot your eyes and brain but that isn’t true and I would know, my screen time for education purposes on a laptop was 3 hours and I know parents love to state that if you look at a screen too long your eyes rot but that isn’t even partly true, firstly when you look at a screen plan out how long your going to look at it daily and get prescription lenses from your nearest optometrist. Furthermore, technology doesn’t rot brains it helps the productivity in them, and this can be seen through a Monash student, a Nossal students and a Melbourne high student who all use laptops in their day to day lives and that is why they’re so successful because school is great, but it won’t be if you do not have all the necessary components.
Some may state that a laptop is too expensive, however, to coerce your child with a device that can help them reach the stars is the greatest gift of all and price wise school gives them out for free but If you want your own a good laptop can cost maximum of 700 dollars however, if you are on a tight budget you can get a new spick and span one from a second-hand retailer.
To sum up everything that has been stated, I believe that we must help our children since they are out future, and I believe through the budget laptops, productivity, and brain strength we can set up our kids for the future and I believe we can start now!
its not the best but it is a rough idea of how long it should be and something i added that u shouldnt is using phrases like tech or spick and span
yeah it is probably like a 6-7/10 because there was no need to add 'monash, nossal and Melbourne high students" because a) very unnecessary and quite deliberate and doesn't really support/help promulgate your points, try not to be too personal as well like stating prices of laptops as this was never called for, also don't state firstly and secondly in the intro because you need to embed them in instead of just saying they are your points that you will be discussing. Also, with your stanford belinda smith person, unless you are 100% sure that is real information then don't add it because I'm sure you didn't just know that and you would've looked it up and in the real test, obviously it would be a different topic so yeah try not to add peoples views unless you are 100% certain. Also, "alleviate students education"???? Anecdotes may seem good but in this case they are uncalled for and a bit obsolete. Also, "tech has had a great toll"??? toll conveys negative connotations. Work on using the right words for the topic, use more formal language, aim more at the general audience like how u said Melbourne high and nossal (not needed). You just really need to work on the way you write your pieces as this isn't really a persuasive but rather a argument analysis.
