I know right! Any last minute tips?
Victorian selective school
Btw- what would you recommend to revise for Numerical Reasoning and Maths? (i find these topics harder than the rest)
Same, my older sister says not to panic, but I cant help to panic. Tips: do not study on the day before since it will just increase your stress, keep practicing, do a lot of tests, and don''t try learning anything new since you don't have time. try remember math formulas,
Thank you for that! Good luck!
And what school are you aiming to get into? I put Suzanne Cory as my 1st preference. Also - are you seeking Year 9 entry or Year 10 entry? Just wondering if we both are on the same page...
yr 9, 1st- nossal, 2nd- mac robertson

aww, thank you!
And another thing - do you know a good website that gives you creative essay prompts?
Hey NSN!
You can use the following link to help you with creative essay prompts as well as selective exams in general. The link is a PDF file and has everything you need for a selective entry. (Creative essay prompts are on the last page)

Hello Study Hard!
Thank you for sharing this link, it truly helps with what I was after. The exam format has changed this year though, and it only tests on content at the year 8 level. Nevertheless, it is still useful to me.
Also, are there any maths/numerical reasoning formulas that I should revise these last 3 days? Or any other topics that appear frequently in the Year 8 curriculum?
Thanks for all your help!
any reading comp or numerical tips?
Try remember the formulas, don't bother to learn anything new, since you do not have time, just keep on revising.
Plus, if you do not get in, it is not the end of the world, as long as you try your best. GOOD LUCK GUYS, and believe in yourself, because you are capable.

Skimm the reading passages, but read the poem properly, and also read the questions first, since some many not even need the passage to get the answer.

And for persuasive writing - what else can we use as evidence instead of statistics? Because it is better to be one the safe side and not make up any facts, who knows what the examinator will be like. I know that you can use anecdotes, but is there anything else?
when we arrive at our reporting times, are we allowed to bring some notes to revise then put them away before the exam?
oh okay thank you
I will be taking the entrance exam next year and I am very confused as to what to study, I have looked at the practice tests on the Victorian government website but have been told these are outdated. It would be very appreciated if someone could give me some relevant resources to study.
