one thing im always wary of is when multiplying or actually dividing fractions that having powers like: x²-144/x²-10x-24 divided by x²-2x-15/x²+5x+6, lol once you know its like the easiest thing ever

Hello, it seems you are a bit confused when it comes to quadratics. Don't worry, as it was the same with me. I had the exact same problems as you explained in your post. I had trouble with memorising formulas, solving them under time pressure and ultimately couldn't recognise what formula to use with each question. Now, the only real way to improve with these sort of questions (and really any question no matter the subject), is to familiarise yourself with the type of questions you have to work on. Here are a few sample questions: (x² + 3x + 2)/(x² - 4), (x² - 64)/(x-8), (3x² + 5x - 12)/(x² - 9). I have solved over hundreds of questions regarding this topic and many others, so I was able to spot the answer to MMHS's question in my head. Unfortunately, there is no time to practise thousands of questions, however I would still recommend devoting some time to at least grasp this concept. Good luck!

no its like a whole equation, the first fraction is one part and that is being divided by the second one, just like dividing 28 by 4

MMHS oh mb i didnt read the whole thing i said the answer for x²-144x/x²-10x-24 but now i realise it means smth else also the answer for the first part is -9x²-120

how did u solve it anyways. I just did (x+12)(x-12) since its the difference of two squares, then just normal factorisation for the bottom which would be (x-12)(x+2) then the two parenthesis cancel and ur left with (x+12)(x+2)

MMHS mb i over thought it u see what i did was x²-x² then i did that minus 10 x then 144 take away 24 but ig i forgot to do factorisation meaning what times what gets twelve and 24 then u just did x+12 and x+2

(a+b)² = a² + b² + 2ab
(a-b)² = a²+b² - 2ab
a²-b² =(a+b)(a-b)

You should know these at the back of your head. Just keep solving lots of quadratics and algebraic equations.

PotatoSinghThe3rd ye i doknow them but i dnt face questions like these u see i normally face for example 2x²+11x+28 and i would solve it as [x+7][x+4] but i frgt for this equation i thnk its bc my head is messed up usually bc i barely eat and drink bc of studies and even when i do it im more tired then a sloth also i cant get this through my brain i call quadratic equations non monic and monic but i always forgot that they're quadratic which is y i was confused at first.

Ronaldo For that question 2x² + 11x + 28 it wouldn't be (x+4)(x+7) i pretty sure because that would be just x², I pretty sure it would be something else, maybe the question is wrong
