Hello, it seems you are a bit confused when it comes to quadratics. Don't worry, as it was the same with me. I had the exact same problems as you explained in your post. I had trouble with memorising formulas, solving them under time pressure and ultimately couldn't recognise what formula to use with each question. Now, the only real way to improve with these sort of questions (and really any question no matter the subject), is to familiarise yourself with the type of questions you have to work on. Here are a few sample questions: (x2 + 3x + 2)/(x2 - 4), (x2 - 64)/(x-8), (3x2 + 5x - 12)/(x2 - 9). I have solved over hundreds of questions regarding this topic and many others, so I was able to spot the answer to MMHS's question in my head. Unfortunately, there is no time to practise thousands of questions, however I would still recommend devoting some time to at least grasp this concept. Good luck!
