Ah. Back when I was doing it, they still used EduTest (though I went to the Scotch Exam instead). If you are panicked about the writing section, do not be. You have 30 minutes or so, which is plenty of time. The prompts are just worded prompts generally and are not very complex, so do not stress it. Again, sometimes it will be persuasive and sometimes it will be narrative. For both narrative and persuasive (but mostly narrative) a hook start is THE single most important thing. The texts you write will at maximum be 300-400 words, so a hook start is everything. Use interesting words. While this advice does not continue into further years, it is very important to show your knowledge. Don't make grammatical or spelling mistakes either. For persuasive pieces continually use emotional language. Metaphors and similes are appreciated a lot. Simply make it engaging, the entire way through as the marker will not get tired by the excessive language.
