12 units worth it for Yr 12?

Hi, I'm currently in Year 12 & doing 6 subjects (2 units each) and wondering if I should drop one? I do Advanced English, Advanced Math, Biology, SOR 2, Economics & Modern History. My worst subject has been Advanced Maths & I've been contemplating dropping it for a while now. I'm just not sure cause I feel like dropping it would be a waste of two years & am unsure of a future career (Adv Math is a prerequisite in some courses.) Any advice would be appreciated!

I feel like at this point dropping a subject is really not worth it as you have already done the content for most of them. I also 12 unites and many of the same subjects (english adv, maths adv, modern, sor2, legal, history ext, english ext) and although I also want to drop maths at the moment, you may as well do the exam just as a backup in case you crash out in one of the other exams

I had the same problem, it is critical to be clear on what you would like to do in the future. If you are sure your not going into any courses that involve mathematics or perquisites for maths I would highly recommended dropping it to sustain a better mark to get into a course you wanna do. Another way is to drop to standard maths, finish your degree and do a pre-maths course in uni to prepare for university degree, a friend of mine did engineering at Macquarie by doing this, however, the policy might be a little different in every uni. Do a little research and try to see yourself fitting into a career when you make the choice. All the best Meg.
