Average Guy no you need at least 1 superior but even that makes is highly unlikely you will get in, you need to be in the top 13% of all kids trying so about 5000 kids, 900-1000 will get offers (but ur a boy then all of macrob spots are irrelevant and vice versa for mhs)
Average Guy yea an average brings down your chances by a lot

this is a miracle but one of my family friends did the selective exam in like 2020 i believe, and they were rejected bc they only got 2 sups but the rest averages. but their parents convinced the school and he got to have an interview and passed bc of his extracurricular activities
anisha im pretty sure in 2020 there was no writing so 2 sup 2av had a low but possible chance
