TheExecutive01 Hi there,
Sorry, this response is a little late!
At JMSS French and Japanese are run while the rest of your core class (the class you have issue studies, science, English and maths with) are in health and PE. This is also true when enrolled in a subject such as German through VSV. However French and Japanese are run in person with teachers who work at the school.
Typically this will mean you have 4 periods a week of German, including one oral lesson once a fortnight (or once a week, I forgot sorry).
When German is on your timetable you make your way to the self-study area, sign off your name and work through the assigned work on the online portal as well as in your textbook. Then once the period ends you rejoin the rest of your class for your other subjects.
There are no tutors provided however I have heard the VSV teachers are good.
Hopefully, this clarifies things. I picked health and PE so didn't do a language, however, I have a friend who did German.
