Regarding extracurricular activities, I’d say that both Melbourne High and Nossal are pretty equal, well-rounded and offer A LOT, such as various clubs, debating, school production, sports, camps, etc. However melb high does provide and encourage many more SPORT activities from what I have heard.
In terms of travelling distance, obviously since Nossal is in Berwick and you live in Berwick, getting to the school would be much faster compared to getting to melb high. But travel to melb high is not too difficult either, you can take the train since you live on the train line, and it is only a very short walk to get to the school.
Another important factor to consider when selecting your school preferences, is the amount of competition at your current secondary school, remembering the 4% rule. Generally speaking, Melb high is a lot more competitive than Nossal, so sometimes people will want to play it safe by picking Nossal.
