Hello everyone!
I'm wondering how to predict study scores for English. I go to jmss and I'm the a bit above average but definitely not the top of the cohort either. Probably top 50- 60 students out of like 150 students. What study score what this correspond to?
English Study Scores?
It might be a bit early to tell what your study score would be, but the middle point is around 30 raw for English. There's a few factors that influence study score as well, such as how other students from different schools go, but seeing as though it's a selective school, you should be safe
For a very rough estimate, I'd say maybe 35ish, but you need to keep it up for the rest of Year 12, and score consistently well in your exam too.
My idea is not to think about it too much, and just do your best. If you keep worrying about study scores, you risk becoming anxious or too comfortable. And this is coming from someone who got an 18 raw for English Lang

Scilover I completely agree with the previous comment. Just focus on doing the best you possibly can, study hard and good results will follow. You can never truly estimate study score this early in the year as contributing factors to your SS vary every year. Just make sure you work hard to get good results, and let VCAA do everything else. I did 3/4 psych last year in year 11, was doing well, then started focusing on my study score too much which put a lot of pressure on me and I didn't perform as well as I could have on my last two SACs. So just stay consistent, don't focus on SS, you can predict it later in the year.
