my desired course is monash law, currently y12, these are my marks so far:
chemistry - 78%, 8/20 in class idk abt cohort cuz theres another class
legal studies - 80% rank undisclosed
english - 100% (idek how that happened haha), 1/100 (?dont know how many eng students, most of cohort)
general maths - prolly can pull 90%ish but haven't had yet
what do i need to get for each subject? careers teacher kinda useless lol, didn't explain what study scores or even just marks to aim for in class so im aiming for As in every subject except chem where i'm aiming for Bs
strong cohort, median SS likely to be 35, i think it will drag me up a fair bit
appreciate any help !

dino oh and also - 40 in psych and 5.0 points from a VET subject last year if that's relevant

might be a bit risky, but you are nearly there... keep it up!

dino looking at the most reliable ATAR calculators (imo), Monash and Atar notes, you'll likely need a raw 47 in two subjects, a 40 raw in chem and a raw 46 in one subject. Note that these raw study scores are likely the minimum you'll need to get a 99.

However, I believe that Monash law requires a 97.1, so you have a tiny bit of leway.

At the end of the day, all you can do is your absolute best, but by your current results it looks like you're doing well, keep it up.

      thank you so much !

      2 months later

Novahkiin hang on i know some who got higher than 90 but below 97 and got their masters in law at monash

im undergrad tho, if u do it postgrad im pretty sure atar isnt considered ?

Ronaldo there can always be exceptions but generally the atar required is at least 97. However, looking at vtac CourseSearch and the Monash website now, the lowest selection to which an offer was given was 95.05. With a masters, atar isn't considered, but you need to maintain at least a credit average (60%) throughout your whole undergrad and have at least two years of work experience in the law sector.
