I was just wondering if not doing the Extension course of the subject would disadvantage you in the Advanced Course. Because the fact is, for Extension courses, you're learning harder topics. While it may not directly overlap, doesn't this give you an edge in the Advanced course? Like for Maths, I'm doing Extension 1 and I've noticed that it seems a lot easier to do the Advanced Exam for us than for normal Advanced students, whether that's because we naturally put more time and effort into maths which is why we picked Extension in the first place or whether it's because we actually have an advantage. And then for English Extension, they're learning critical analysis early and how to incorporate different time periods into your narratives so that it is specific to the century. Wouldn't this give the narrative an edge over the Advanced students since it is more sophisticated and detailed? Or is it possible to excel just as much as an English Extension 1 student does writing an English Advanced narrative/essay/discursive, etc.?
