Repeating methods 1/2?

Hey guys, I'm currently in year 10 doing methods 1/2, but honestly I haven't been doing too well in the subject. Although it would be useful to get maths out of the way so I have more time to focus on my other subjects in year 12, I obviously don't want to receive any bad results. Should I just repeat units 1/2 next year and do 3/4 hhd in year 11 instead so I have more time for methods? Or is repeating a 1/2 not worth it?

I'd probs recommend getting a tutor if you can afford it or if your school or local library offers one for free, before making any big decisions bc even just an hour long session a week really helped me out.
Otherwise, unit 1/2 won't impact your atar, but if you don't understand the content in 1/2 you won't understand the content in 3/4. Maybe ask your teacher what you should do?

Definitely not worth repeating 1/2. The minimum requirement for 1/2's is an S.
If you aren't confident due to the content in the 1/2, I would take the advice from the poster above and perhaps spend some extra time revisiting it or seeking out a tutor who can work through these concepts with you.

If you aren't doing well in Methods, I'd be looking into why you have chosen it also. Is it due to a university pre-requisite? Is the aim for it to scale up so you get a better ATAR? Did you choose it just 'because'? If it isn't absolutely necessary to your success and you aren't doing well despite efforts, it may be worth considering General and aiming to do better in that. Any decision you make surrounding subjects should go through a Careers Counsellor at your school first as they are (in most cases) well informed to advise on any ramifications.

As people said before, maybe you could find a tutor, or maybe also ask some of your friends who are also accelerating in Methods, I know that I just asked my friend or my teacher for help when I don't understand things. You could see how you go later on this year and then maybe do 3/4 because I think repeating 3/4 would be more worth it, like if you find that you do fine in yr 11 then you don't have to repeat.
