I've heard that using a journal helps with organising your things and help taking things off of your shoulder. I'm starting this in the 6th week of semester 1 grade 9 and I hope I stick to it and keep writing until my school years are over. if I don't I'm probably crying in the corner of my room. Anyways this is going to be a safe space for me and anyone else that wants to talk in this 'discussion'.
Let's go through what I'm taking this semester:
English - core:
It's honestly not that bad. Although the school could tone it down on the essays and tests I don't really mind it. Sometimes I think its kind of fun. The teacher we have is one of the best in the whole school and shes just so chill most of the time. I've gotten pretty decent marks in the subject, nothing under 60% so I'm pretty proud of myself. With the exams coming close I'm getting nervous but with the extra facilities here I'm sure it'll be fine.
Maths - Core:
This makes me want to bawl my eyes out. I've being going to tuition for a few years and find the stuff mostly easy. I've had almost 2 teachers already and my current one is just the best. She actually helps us understand ALOT of the stuff she teaches unlike the first one. He told us what to do any didn't really explain much but he was quite decent to.
Science - Core:
Im not going to brag or anything but I'm literally the best at science. Its one of my favourite subjects and the tests are so easy. The practices are getting quite boring and we haven't had one for ages. I might a little homework form this piled up but who wants to make a hat the shape of a brain? how's that going to help us?
Physics And Chemistry:
This is the easiest subject I have. My teacher is so good and he's quite an easy marker too. In the last test I took I got an 89% but he marked it worth and I got bumped up to a 91%. Later I looked over the test and saw that I had correctly answered the ones that he marked wrong so I'm probably going to get my grades they way I want them. I'm going to ace this exam.
Health And Disease:
This subject comes into the kinda difficult group. I love learning about the human body but sometimes it make some want to cry. The teacher I have is so strict and the way she marks our tests makes me regret taking the class. Thankfully I did quite well and the unit is going to end in like 4 weeks. But wait. I have exams. Yay.
Personal Finance:
Again I had so many teachers for this already it hurts my brain. This is a subject I enjoy ALOT. its easy its fun and it actually helps with the real world. The amount of times I've gotten scared when I got a test is insane but I managed to get through them and pass.
PE/Health:
I hate it.. no I don't. Its not bad but who wants to do the beep test every 2 week? and health is not terrible but not the best. Its decent. I luckly dont have the health coordinator as my coach. My friends however aren't that lucky.
So my semester hasn't went that bad and writing this has made me feel quite relaxed. I was writing this during maths.
I have so many tests and exams coming up I'm really nervous and the fact that I'm taking the Selective exam kind of make it worse. My Tuition teacher told me to focus on on ethi sbut that going to be difficult. Anyways I hope my next semester goes a little more smoothly than this one but I don't mind.
p.s: if anyone else is taking the selective exam for year 10 PLEASE SEND HELP I want to revise a little more effectively than last year. can anyone recommed any ways to do so? when I find a way I'll put it on this discussion page.
