Hi guys, I've been using the Deroza tests for practise but found some of the questions too straightfoward and formulaic whereas in my tuition, the questions (especially maths) are very wordy and take time to understand. So i was wondering whether the deroza tests are similar to the actual exam or not?
Miio finally got my venue itβs Moonee Valley Racecourse
tuliplover Yay!! Weβre going to see each other there!! Iβm so excited haha
Miio omg yay!! so glad this makes things a little bit better for me
10 days
This slow countdown is worrying me.. I'm actually even more worried that during the test i'll be too scared and just freeze and malfunction than my abilities..
Miio Ahh it's so stressful righttt?? I wish u the greatest luck during during preparation and the test we can do it haha

Hey guys i'm pretty weak in creative writing so was wondering if u have any tips on how to improve?
anisha If you have any good (and hopefully willing) english tutors/teachers, try writing some pieces in a timed environment and sending them over for advice/tips!
As for things you can do by yourself, try work on idea generation by taking inspiration off other sources of like content/media (movies, tv shows, books, etc) but not too heavily
Make sure you have a good structure/plan, like how you'll sort the story out. Flow/timing is very important and it's ideal to go into the right amount of depth while not making it extremely complicated
I've been told it's good to include a moral/message/connection to a real world problem or something similar, just to make your story more advanced and therefore grant you higher marks
Wishing you the best of luck!!
