Hey! My school wasn't too competitive, I'd say. I only knew about 3 other classmates trying out for SEHS out of a cohort of 150.
As for superiors etc, I fortunately got in 1st round with 3 superiors (in the English sections + Writing) and an average and HA.

A! really that’s amazing but I reckon I’ll get 3 sups for English and one av for maths and one ha for nr u reckon I can get into Melbourne high with these scores

Well, as you know, it really depends on the strength of your fellow applicants. Additionally, (not 100% sure) but Melbourne High is typically harder to get into. However, 2nd, 3rd round onwards is probably quite realistic!

I'm trying out for year 10 suzanne Cory this year and I want to revise a little harder during these few days. do u have any websites you thought really helped?

Hey! Unfortunately, I don't really have a good answer for you. However, I would recommend Maths Olympiad practice questions for atleast yrs 8-9 as being pretty comparable to the difficulty of the SEHS exam. For yr10, I'm assuming their Yr10 questions would also jump up in diffculty accordingly.

Mac.Rob students come from absolutely everywhere. So, to answer you question, I have no doubt someone shares the same line.

              Tas
Yeah, at least for our year it is. It's only once a week though, so it doesn't detract from the curriculum much.

A! but what if I couldn't because of religious reasons? (Don't worry if you don't know)

                  Tas
Hey! What I do know is that Mac.Rob is very accommodating of its community, therefore, I'm pretty confident that they would make exceptions on the grounds of religious reasons. It is definitely something to bring up with the School's Leadership though (think Middle school leader, Year 9 Coordinator etc.)
                  Hope this helps!

Tas I can answer that since it public if u can’t play (I assume u r muslim) then u won’t be obligatory whereas it is if u don’t have any religious reasons

A! also, how does run club work? if its in the morning before school, wont u get all sweaty and tired? or are there showers?

Hey! So, as far as I know, Run Club meets every Friday at 7:20am. You're expected to change into academic uniform after if you don't have P.E scheduled that day and, in regard to showers, I'm actually not too sure, sorry! I'll have too have a look next time I'm in the gym.
