Ask me questions about Mac.Rob!
YR10SEHSASPIRANT So what happens to the spots that are now vacant? How do the schools replace them?

YR10SEHSASPIRANT precisely. not direct but remember this is a school for "academically gifted" students. they expect much more than regular public schools (but get less money LMAO) and maybe around year 9 (mainly year 10) is when school is much harder and important
mizi yes i agree
A! Hey, I'm going to Macrob next year and I was wondering whether we had to buy our own laptops? Please let me know asap!
Another thing: is the school pretty? ik this is kinda weird to ask but most public schools i've seen are pretty filthy and idk about selective schools... also i've heard the school buildings are very old
i_need_mental_asylum not related much but this is cool https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JWg8t8IKs9C_ecT2eVXcxwJssVkKy-1c/view
alr thanks these help a lot
that's cool thanks everyone. but still wondering about the sports since I do 2 sports that require like 3ish sessions each and I don't wanna quit them. I have no problem moving clubs but I just wanna keep active. so like the kids who go to selectives/have siblings can they say how kids in selective manage to still play and maintain fitness? I realllllly wanna go cause I love studying and I love the competitive environment but my parents don't want me too cause I would have to possibly quit sport help me find reasons to convince them to let me go!
update: I'm going
aru nice
What sport are offered in Mac rob?
Can you pick any language for VCE or are there only certain languages or subjects?
What time does hmr start?

Anonymous_101 i have no clue if its the same for every sehs but they only offer indo, jap, french, and german. for every skl im pretty sure u can do any language, BUT u have to do 'vsl' which is external. and i've heard that in order to compensate u have to take extra subjects in vce to meet the minimum. for example, if you want to do english, methods, accoutning, and mandarin, u'd have to do mandarin externally, and so you'd have to take on another subject at macrob to compensate. but this is what ive heard from past forums so i'm not 100% sure
aru hi so I didn't get in first round, but I do know lots of people who have been to the school and are in the school. basically they are really big on sport and extracurricular activities. As quoted by the parent of a macrob kid, "you name any sport and macrob and mhs are state toppers in it." i believe there's lots of clubs to choose from, so i don't think you should have any trouble maintaining physical fitness. hope this helps
