Kris hi! firstly, please dont be discouraged by a bad grade on your bio exam. vce is all about correction and perfection of errors. and if biology 1/2 doesn’t work out, then don’t pick it up in year 12- year 11 is all about determining what you enjoy and what you’re good at. have a look at the study designs for the subjects and see what you’re interested in based off what’s outlined in the curriculum.
i also agree with your teacher, 3/4 general is good to get out of the way, and i’m guessing you’re a math wizard based on those subject selections. it never hurts to have 6 subjects, or if things might not work out in year 12, you can drop a subject and still have 5 subjects on your atar 🙂
one last piece of advice: pick what you have an interest in learning. vce is dull, learning something you’re interested in can make it less dull
