prompt: While hiking with friends, you stumble upon an ancient-looking forest that seems to vibrate with its own energy. The trees are towering giants with glowing leaves that flicker like fireflies. As you step inside, a soft whisper calls your name, drawing you deeper into the woods. Each step feels like a page turning in a storybook, and the air is thick with the scent of enchantment... In the summer heat, I, Aubreigh, somehow found myself hiking in a perfidious forest. My best friend Jake decided to go deeper in the woods, so I followed. The moisture in the air was sticking onto my skim, the deafening silence was killing me. Jake cocked his head and glanced at me. "Hey Aubreigh, are you alright?" He asked, his brows furrowing and his dark hair swept over his eyes. "Yeah, I'm alright," I said without second thought. The next second, I found myself in excruciating pain, along with losing consciousness.
When I gained back my consciousness, I found myself laying in a pile of sticks as a make shift bed. Jake was towering over me, his slender fingers gently pushing his hair back, I could stare into his eyes forever, but there was a strange creature charging towards him. "Run! Run for your life!" I said in a thunderous booming voice, with no time to spare. I got up on my feet faster than lightning and began sprinting toward the direction the creature was coming from, which ended up being a bad idea. I was almost torn apart by these grimy looking creatures if it weren't for Jake. He had distracted them by throwing all of our remaining food to a pile of dirt. "Lets split up for now," Jake whispered to me, his hot breath tickling my ear.
As we split up, there were less creatures coming after me. I continued sprinting and eventually met up with Jake again, but this time we found ourselves stick on the edge of a cliff. We had no other choice. There was only one thing on my mind at that moment. Death. The creatures were coming closer and closer to us.
