I was strolling through the ebullient streets of Athens when something special caught my attention. It was an antique satchel, covered in shimmering scales.
Intrigued, I approached an old lady who was trying to buy it, my emotions surging with unexpected animosity. Without thinking, I snatched it from her hand and turned to the merchant. In a brazen voice that startled him, I demanded to buy it. The man, looking apprehensive, hesitantly handed it over.
As I held the satchel in my hands, I pondered deeply about what it could possibly be. Rushing home, I dashed through the boisterous streets of my neighbourhood, heart pounding with anticipation.
They say curiosity killed the cat, but I went all in.
My fingers were sweating as I wiped them nervously on the side of my pants. I opened the satchel. Nothing happened. My mind was dumbfounded. Suddenly, a crescendo roared and erupted through the walls of my room.
A spirit emerged from the crevice in the floorboards.
It pulled me into the unknown abyss, as the cerulean atmosphere around me made me apprehensive. I was left wondering about my fate.
Out of the blue, a luminous figure appeared: Patronis, the guardian of Atlantis. He led me through his glowing wake as soft ripples followed our path. We stood on an ancient grave, surrounded by the dilapidated ruins of Atlantis. The ruins led to an archaic home, weathered by time, and appearing to be over a thousand years old.
Suddenly, the ground beneath me cracked open. I fell into the abyss.
The air rushed past me like a thousand whispers, each one murmuring fragments of forgotten truths. I landed softly—not on the ground—but on a bed of light.
The abyss was not empty. It was a choice.
I stood there once more, as deafening silence filled the room. Then, a voice of mine, but older, broke the silence. It echoed all around me.
"You were not falling. You were being invited."
For the first time, I did not feel lost.
I felt ready.
Ready to confront the behemoth.
