chxin we speak cantonese and English, those are our two main languages. they do teach mandarin in school so every hk kid is basically fluent in two languages and semi fluent in mandarin. cantonese is a dialect i think and its spoken in the guangdong region. its a tonal language like mandarin but the way we say it is quite different. if you come to hk i swear no one will look at you like you’re a (blank cuz im not gonna get cancelled 💔) hk is really diverse
