As we move beyond the SEHS exam that took place on June 14th, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the effort and dedication each of us has invested throughout this challenging process. Preparing for this exam without the support of official past papers, relying instead on mock exams and various resources such as the ATAR Notes forum, has truly tested our resilience and determination. I commend everyone for the commitment they have shown and the perseverance required to navigate this demanding journey.
With the results scheduled for release on July 23rd, I will be stepping away temporarily to recharge and reflect. This break is essential for me to clear my mind, regain energy, and prepare mentally for the next stage of my academic journey. It is important to recognize that periods of rest and reflection are just as critical as periods of intense study in maintaining long-term motivation and focus.
Following the release of the results, I will be returning fully committed to the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) program, which I am scheduled to commence in 2028. My intention is to approach VCE with renewed focus and determination, building upon the foundation I have laid during the earlier years of high school. Beginning preparation in Year 9, I plan to develop my skills progressively, ensuring that I am thoroughly equipped to excel throughout the two years of VCE study.
One of my major goals is to gain entry into Melbourne High School (MHS), a selective school renowned for its academic excellence and the opportunities it offers. Attending MHS would provide the ideal environment to challenge myself, grow academically, and prepare for future university studies. This ambition fuels my dedication to consistently improve my knowledge and skills.
My ultimate ambition is to achieve the Bachelor of Commerce Chancellor’s Honours Scholarship, a highly prestigious award that requires consistent academic excellence and dedication. Securing this scholarship is not merely a goal but a driving force that motivates me to maintain discipline and strive for the highest standards in my studies. I recognize that this path will demand hard work, strategic planning, and continuous improvement, and I am prepared to meet those challenges head-on.
I also want to acknowledge that I tend to yap a lot — I sometimes overthink or get carried away explaining things, probably because I’m passionate and eager to share my thoughts. While this means I often talk too much, I’m learning to focus that energy productively, especially as I prepare for the next stages ahead. It’s all part of the process of growing, communicating better, and staying grounded in my goals.
I encourage all of you to also reflect on your goals and strategies moving forward. Whether you plan to continue on the selective entry path or pursue alternative educational opportunities, it is crucial to maintain a clear vision of your objectives and to develop a study routine that supports sustained success. Leveraging resources such as the ATAR Notes forum, engaging with supportive communities, and balancing study with rest will all contribute to achieving your academic potential.
In closing, I want to congratulate everyone once again on reaching this milestone. The journey does not end here; rather, it is the beginning of a broader and more exciting chapter. Take the time to rest and recharge during this waiting period, and return with the confidence and determination to excel in your future endeavors.
Wishing you all the best of luck with your results and your ongoing studies. I look forward to seeing many of you continue to thrive and achieve great success in the years ahead.
