Come up with your own systems! For example, I underline all the things that might trip me up. E.g. round to 2 decimal places, give the answer in km, k is a positive constant.
I also circle all the things that questions ask for. One of the common "careless mistakes" I make is not actually answering the question. For example, if the question asks for coordinates, sometimes I just give x = ...
Essentially, there is no such thing as "silly mistakes". Find the root of the issue, and come up with your own system that prevents you making those mistakes!
